USWNT player Sophia Smith and her longtime partner Michael Wilson used the NWSL off-season to travel to a tropical destination.
Smith became the youngest player in NWSL history to reach the 30-goal milestone after being selected first overall by the Thorns in the 2020 NWSL Draft. Smith has subsequently played 38 times for her country.
Wilson, who wrapped up a fantastic rookie year with the Arizona Cardinals last week, and the Portland Thorns forward took off for some well-earned vacation. Smith helped the Thorns make the playoffs the previous season by scoring 11 goals in 18 NWSL games.
On her Instagram Stories: Smith shared a photo of herself enjoying a drink and snack by the beach, accompanied by a picture of Wilson sipping from a coconut, and the message, “All I need in life.”
Since their time together at Stanford University, where they both played for the Cardinals before being selected for the professional draft, Smith and Wilson have been a relationship.
The couple recently shared a social media post on their fifth year of dating.
