Thomas, born in Dubai, places in the top 10 in his Asian Tour debut

After placing inside the top ten at International Series Morocco, his Asian Tour debut, Rayhan Thomas, a native of Dubai, shown he had what it takes to compete with the best. The 24-year-old, who only started playing professionally at the beginning of June, took full advantage of the Moroccan Golf Federation’s invitation to compete, shooting rounds of 69-73-69-72 to finish in a share of eighth place on the challenging Red Course of Royal Golf Dar Es Salam.

The Indian can now proudly claim that he finished ahead of a number of LIV Golf players, including Graeme McDowell, Scott Vincent, and Branden Grace, in addition to pocketing a nice $39,480.00 as a result of his performance. Before graduating earlier this year, Thomas, who spent the last five years at Oklahoma State University, stated, “I thought I did a really good job.”

I had a little tough start to the day, but as you can see, I kept my composure and throughout the week, I was able to handle any problems and recover rather effectively. Thus, I’m pretty pleased with the week. “Being in this position to compete has given me a major confidence boost. Perhaps there is a chance for you to win. It was enormous in such a strong field. “Today’s victory in the final hole was enormous. It was somewhat difficult for me to lie down. Additionally, I made a 9-to 10-footer, which was extremely important in helping me place in the top ten.

After eliminating John Catlin in a play-off to win his second Asian Tour championship, Ben Campbell emerged victorious, trailing Thomas by seven shots at the conclusion. According to Campbell, “that was a great finish.” “You know, I wasn’t at my best today, and all I could say to Mike, his caddie, was that I needed to find something and be patient.” I had a nice bunker shot on 16 when I went flag hunting and leaked it correctly. Mike heard me say, “You never know,” if I manage to locate Eagle-birdie. That’s what I did, and it’s always fantastic to hole a putt like that in the playoff.

After a little hiatus, the Asian Tour will go to Foxhills Club & Resort for International Series England on August 8–11. It will be The International Series’ fourth leg and the ninth event of the Asian Tour season.
