Ten Hag: “Man Utd won’t change strategy against Forest”

Despite their shocking home loss to Fulham, Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag stated on Tuesday that his team has no intention of changing their typical strategy when they play Nottingham Forest away in the FA Cup fifth round on Wednesday.
This past weekend, Fulham defeated Manchester United 2-1 in the Premier League to win at Old Trafford for the first time in almost 20 years. After the loss, United dropped to sixth position, eight points behind Aston Villa in fourth.

United, who lost 2-1 to rival Manchester City in the FA Cup final at Wembley last season, will make their way to Nottingham Forest’s City Ground On Wednesday night.
“We dropped one game and went undefeated in January and February. We are conscious that it was a poor performance and a defeat,” Ten Hag said reporters.
“We wish to continue competing in all events. Tomorrow, we must triumph. It doesn’t alter our strategy; that holds true for all games. As I look at today, we want to win every game while working on team growth. We eagerly anticipate the future.”

When it came to young players like Omari Forson, Alejandro Garnacho, and Kobbie Mainoo, the Dutchman advised patience.
“They (youngsters) need time but they also need to know that at the top level you don’t get much time,” Ten Hag stated. “The paradox is that. I think these players are capable, so I’ll give them some time.”

Ten Hag also supported Brazilian winger Antony, who has lately been connected to a move away from United, to struggle his way back into the starting lineup following a slump in play. When Antony was a player for Ajax Amsterdam, Ten Hag was his coach.
“I have experience knowing he is unstoppable. Within the first ten yards, he is among the fastest players. He will act when he plays this game,” he remarked.
“I have no doubt that he will do it later on. He is a character and he is tough. He’s going to fight back.”
Casemiro, a midfielder, is available for the Forest match, according to Ten Hag.
“He is open for business. Ten Hag stated, “He had to come off (against Fulham) because he was bleeding.”
