PSG plot mega €200m offer for Barca’s Lamine Yamal as replacement for Kylian Mbappe

To replace Kylian Mbappe, Paris Saint-Germain is preparing a bold €200 million bid for Barcelona’s teenage player Lamine Yamal.

The big Ligue 1 team is trying to find a replacement for Kylian Mbappe, who is expected to leave for Real Madrid in the summer. PSG is reportedly contemplating a whopping €200 million (£170 million/$218 million) bid for Barcelona’s 16-year-old sensation Lamine Yamal, according to Marca.

According to reports, Barcelona is aware that the French team is interested in its star player, and Jorge Mendes, the player’s agent, recently met with Joan Laporta, the club president, to formally advise her of the offer. The current La Liga heavyweights are unlikely to let go of the young player just a year after elevating him to the senior team, even in light of their financial difficulties. Having participated in 37 games in all competitions this season, the 16-year-old has had a fantastic run of play. He has four goals and six assists in 37 appearances.

Compared to previous players of the same age in La Liga history, Yamal has scored twice as many goals in the league thus far this season. July is the forward’s birthday, not July 17.

What to expect for Barcelona

For now, though, Xavi’s team will want to qualify for the Champions League quarterfinals. They will play Napoli in the second leg of their round of 16 match on Tuesday.
