Poorly-coached Eagles eliminated by Wild Card loss to Buccaneers – 32 to 9

In the wild card round of the 2024 NFL Playoffs, the Philadelphia Eagles were defeated by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday night. 32 to 9 is the final score.

To be honest, I’m a little relieved that it’s finally finished. It hasn’t been enjoyable to watch this team recently. Saying this about a club that went 10-1 and aspires to return to the Super Bowl is absurd. However, it was awful to watch them lose their last six regular season games, going 1-5. In the end, losing badly to the Bucs on Monday night is a forgiving conclusion.

Naturally, many people are now wondering what will happen to the Eagles moving forward. Considering that Nick Sirianni oversaw the season’s spectacular collapse, it’s difficult to imagine he’s returning. When you ignore the fact that the Bucs controlled two of those years’ postseason games, “three straight years in the playoffs” sounds much better. And how is it possible to think he knows how to solve this?
Clearly, the coaching staff is only one piece of the puzzle. There will be a lot of personnel decisions to make, not all of which will be done by the team.

Did Jason Kelce just give us his last glimpse? Graham Brandon? Lane Johnson? Fletcher Cox? How is Howie Roseman going to correct his errors, especially with the ball in his defense?
The future is not definite.

The difficult 2023 Eagles season is now behind us.
