Nikola Jovic hopes to represent Serbia at the Olympics

In Belgrade, Nikola Jovic has begun to work on his own at full speed. The Miami Heat forward’s chances of recovering from his ankle injury and competing in the 2018 Olympics are good, according to Mozzart Sport.

Optimism appears to have begun to grow in Serbia’s camp, just hours after the pessimistic predictions surrounding Nikola Jovic’s eligibility for the 2018 Olympic Games emerged. The Miami Heat forward, who is recovering from an ankle injury, has resumed intense solo practice. According to Mozzart Sport, there is hope that Jovic, 21, will represent Serbia at the Olympics because he is training in Belgrade and his body—particularly his feet—responds well to the intense beat.

Before Serbia’s friendly matches against Australia on July 15 and Team USA on July 17, they are stationed in Abu Dhabi, where Jovic is reportedly recuperating and working under the close supervision of coaches, physicians, and physiotherapists. These reports are encouraging to Serbia. Additionally, a meeting with Miami coach Erik Spoelstra has been scheduled, according to Mozzart Sport. The talk with Spoelstra is anticipated given that he is there and that the Serbian national team has been in the United Arab Emirates since Sunday morning. The federation and the national team worked on the player’s full recovery in close connection with the Heat.
