Meet the 60 qualifiers for France’s women’s golf competition at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris

On May 31, 2024, in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Mariajo Uribe of Colombia hits her shot from the second tee during the second round of the U.S. Women’s Open Presented by Ally at Lancaster Country Club.

The 60 qualifiers for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris have been revealed by the International Golf Federation, which wrapped off the women’s golf competition qualification phase. Nelly Korda, Lilia Vu, and Rose Zhang will represent the United States at Le Golf National, while Jin Young Ko, Amy Yang, and Hyo Joo Kim will represent the Republic of Korea. Both nations will field three players in the tournament. After winning her maiden major championship at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, the last qualifying event for the women’s competition, Yang secured a berth in the field at the last minute.

More than two dozen competitors, such as the Swedes Maja Stark and Linn Grant, will be competing in their first Olympics, and fifteen others—among them Lydia Ko of New Zealand, Canadian Brooke Henderson, and Australian Minjee Lee—will be making their third consecutive Games appearance.

Other noteworthy qualifiers include Yuka Saso, who will compete for Japan in Paris for the first time after representing the Philippines in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, and Colombian Mariajo Uribe, who declared that the 2024 Paris Olympics would be her final competition as a professional golfer. By winning the U.S. Women’s Open presented by Ally at Lancaster Country Club, Saso secured her spot in her second Olympic Games. Shannon Tan, the winner of the ladies European Tour, will play in her first Olympics, the first time any athlete from Singapore has ever competed in the men’s or women’s golf competition.
