Jesse Lingard left in limbo! after Saudi deal falls through

Former Manchester United player Jesse Lingard is still without a contract and is a free agent, having apparently seen his transfer to the Saudi Pro League fall through.

Following his release by Nottingham Forest at the end of the 2022–2023 season, the former England international has been without a club. Since then, he has participated in tryouts with Al-Ettifaq and West Ham, although he is currently without a contract.

To keep in shape and be ready for the phone to ring, Lingard has been working on a personal fitness regimen, but now that one door has closed, so has another. This is as a result of the Middle East transfer window closing on Wednesday.

Sky Sports claims that Al-Shabab, who had previously been connected to Miguel Almiron, a winger for Newcastle, made a last-ditch effort to recruit Lingard. Due to the inability to complete a transaction in time, the 31-year-old midfielder is still awaiting a career return.

Although Lingard is rumored to have received approaches from a few Turkish teams and is being linked to an MLS move to play among players like Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi, he currently faces increased frustration and an uncertain future.
