Jadon Sancho has a better future at Manchester United compared to Erik ten Hag – Chris Sutton

Sancho

Chris Sutton believes that even though Jadon Sancho is going back to Borussia Dortmund on loan, he has a better future at Manchester United compared to Erik ten Hag.

Sancho signed a loan agreement with Dortmund till the end of the season, with no option of making the move a permanent one. The England international has returned to Germany after being dropped from the United first squad in August. Sancho said he had been used as a “scapegoat” after Ten Hag had criticized his training effort on social media.

Former striker Sutton reckons Ten Hag would soon lose his job, while Sancho’s actions on social media were inappropriate. Sutton also thinks Sancho will return to United in the near future. He stated on the podcast It’s All Kicking Off: “I think Sancho will stay at Manchester United longer than Ten Hag. There’s a young, gifted player there who, for whatever reason, believes he’s better than Manchester United and the organization. He treated Ten Hag in a really absurd manner on social media. It was pitiful. Sancho has behaved horribly. This is how it ended, but I think he’ll return to Manchester United, and if Ten Hag keeps on this way, I think he’ll be gone by the end of the season.”

Ten Hag

Because of his team’s underwhelming performances so far this season, Ten Hag is under pressure at Old Trafford. The Red Devils are currently eighth in the Premier League, nine points outside of a spot in the top four, after an encouraging first season under the Dutch coach.

Sancho will look to rebound in the Bundesliga after completing his comeback to Dortmund this week. Ten Hag, meanwhile, will want to get his United team back to playing its best and competitive enough to qualify for the Champions League the next season.
