“I’ll be easier to replace than Guardiola.” – Klopp

Before Sunday’s game against title rivals City, Liverpool manager Juergen Klopp stated that finding a new coach at the conclusion of the season would be far easier than replacing manager Pep Guardiola at Manchester City.
Liverpool leads City by one point in the standings heading into the match at Anfield. The final Premier League meeting between the two managers occurs after Klopp announced in January that he will leave the position at the end of the current campaign.

“I truly believe that this is the ideal time for a new manager and not the incorrect choice because we didn’t win every game, we created opportunities,” Klopp responded to reporters on Friday when they were asked if it would be hard to succeed him or Guardiola.
“Go (in) at City after Pep Guardiola and you need to be champion ten years in a row to achieve the same.”
The German manager claimed he has no regrets about losing the Premier League championship to City by a single point in the 2018–19 and 2021–2022 campaigns because it releases pressure and gives his successor the perfect opportunity to pursue additional hardware.

“Maybe it was good for that reason that we didn’t become champion with 97 points,” Klopp stated.
“Everyone knows that at one particular moment in those years (when they lost to City), things may have turned out differently. I don’t think it lessens the happiness of what we accomplished at that one moment.Obviously, the outside world has a whole different perspective: either you win or you don’t.”
