For the first time China will host group stage matches in the Davis Cup finals.

September will mark China’s first hosting of group stage Davis Cup finals matches, the International Tennis Federation (ITF) announced on Thursday.
One of the four groups will be conducted at the Hengqin International Tennis Center in Zhuhai; the other three will take place from September 10–15 in Manchester, Valencia, and Bologna, according to the ITF.
Manchester will host the group stage matches for the second year in a row, while Bologna and Valencia will host them for the third consecutive year.
The top two teams from each group advance to the final eight, which takes place in Malaga, which hosted the round previous year, from November 19–24.

Italy, the defending champions, and the 2023 runner-ups Australia, Britain, and Spain received wildcard admissions, while Australia qualified directly for the 16-team group stage.
Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Netherlands, Slovakia, and the United States are the other 12 qualifiers that made it to the final group stage.
The ITF further stated that the drawing to decide group assignments will happen on Tuesday.
