Fernandes, Rashford penalties give Man Utd 2-0 win over Everton

Manchester United defeated Everton 2-0 on Saturday thanks to goals from Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford. It was their first Premier League win in three attempts, and the result will undoubtedly light the flames of their ambitions of finishing in the top four.
With a game remaining, Erik ten Hag’s club, now in sixth position, has moved up to 47 points, one point ahead of fourth-place Aston Villa on 55. Tottenham, in fifth position, will play Villa on Sunday. They have 50 points and two games remaining. With 25 points, Sean Dyche’s Everton sit five points above the drop zone in 16th place.

Alejandro Garnacho was the victim of two silly tackles in the box that resulted in penalties. Both goals came against the flow of play, with Everton dominating for extended periods of time against a United midfield that consistently gave up the ball.
