Facundo Pellisti, Man Utd winger, has joined Granada on loan

Having found it difficult to maintain his spot in Manchester United’s starting lineup, Facundo Pellisti has moved on loan to Granada until the end of the current campaign.

Pellistri spent the second half of the 2020–21 season and the entire 2021–22 campaign with Alaves, making this his second loan spell in Spain. This season, the Uruguayan played in 14 games for United, but he only made one start in the Premier League—a 1-0 loss to Crystal Palace. In addition to paying Pellistri’s salary, Granada, who are currently in second place in La Liga, will also provide United an unknown loan fee.

Frustrated by his lack of opportunities, Pellistri’s agency targeted United manager Erik ten Hag prior to Pellistri’s move to Granada, implying that the player would not likely return to Old Trafford should the Dutchman stay in charge. Edgardo Lasalvia told Sport 890, “Ten Hag hasn’t used him, valued him, or treated him like a professional.” “His performance in the middle of the year will determine whether or not he goes back to Manchester. It is going to be challenging if Ten Hag persists.”

Pellistri is an international player for Uruguay who has won eighteen caps. Throughout his career, he has made 24 senior appearances for United, and he now plans to play frequently in Spain.
