As a father, Novak Djokovic has more opportunity to hone his talents because he does not participate in as many tournaments as he formerly did.

After his early exit from the US Open, the 24-time Grand Slam champion could still be in disbelief. It was the first time since 2017 that he finished a season without winning a Grand Slam match after falling to Alexei Popyrin in the third round.

Some fear Djokovic’s health will start to deteriorate quickly. The 37-year-old Serbian will eventually succumb to the effects of aging, according to Martina Navratilova.

Some, meanwhile, are more optimistic about Djokovic’s prospects of continuing to be a top player in men’s tennis. James Blake, a past quarterfinalist at the US Open, thinks the former world No. 1 could still contend for Grand Slams far into his forties.

Paul McNamee, a 1982 Australian Open semifinalist, stated that Djokovic is the favorite for the Melbourne championship the following year. Given his 10 victories at the Australian Open, McNamee’s prediction makes sense.

Djokovic has already discussed the perspective that becoming a father has given him, and his wife Jelena Djokovic has provided insight into the type of dad he is. Despite this, Djokovic believes that it is crucial to continue competing for Grand Slams.

Djokovic, according to Jelena, makes the family laugh and reduces tension. One of the former world number one’s greatest qualities as a parent is that he is a lighthearted father.

Yes, sharing hugs and spending time together really helps me feel more energised. For all of us, reading books and playing video games are essential. As a playful parent who enjoys playing with his kids, Novak makes the family laugh and relieves a lot of our stress.

Though Djokovic’s celebrity has made them a well-known couple, Jelena said the couple usually responds to their children’s needs by doing small things, which are often the most important to them.

In actuality, it’s something worthwhile to strive for and own. We basically did these quirky things because it was an instinctive response to what our kids required. At times, the most basic actions we take turn out to be the most significant ones.”

The humorous parent persona that Djokovic has adopted is consistent with remarks he has made to the Tennis Channel regarding his commitment to encouraging his children to lead active and healthy lifestyles.

“I am the one in charge of their sports, activities, and healthy living out of the two parents. I am constantly telling kids of how vital it is to stay active. Whether it is tennis or something else entirely, just get out there and do something. I therefore make an effort to play tennis with them every day; even on the day of the match, I want them to be present.”

The tennis icon has frequently discussed how his way of life has contributed to his exceptional longevity in the game. It follows that Djokovic’s proactive efforts to maintain his children’s health are not shocking.
