Chelsea’s Chilwell ruled out of Man United clash, Gusto back in training

Chelsea’s left-back Manager Mauricio Pochettino announced on Wednesday that right defender Malo Gusto is back in training and prepared for their Premier League match against Manchester United, but Ben Chilwell is out due to illness.
Following his return from international duty, England international Chilwell was also sidelined for Chelsea’s 2-2 home draw against lowly Burnley on Saturday due to a leg injury. Alfie Gilchrist took Gusto’s place in the 87th minute for the Frenchman.
Robert Sanchez, the goalie, Carney Chukwuemeka, and Trevoh Chalobah have resumed team training. Rehab programs are still being followed by Levi Colwill, Wesley Fofana, Reece James, Romeo Lavia, Christopher Nkunku, and Lesley Ugochukwu.

“After working with us in training, Trevoh and Malo are prepared to join the team. No, Ben. He was absent from us on Friday. Our final memory of him was that. Pochettino informed reporters that “a lot of fluid has been removed from his knee by the medical staff.”
“After he returned from the national team, things were like that. He then became ill on Saturday, and he is not here today, recovering at home.”Robert is getting ready. We’ll wait and see if he gets added to the list.”
Nkunku’s recuperation is taking longer than anticipated, Pochettino continued. Only seven Premier League appearances have been made by the adaptable 26-year-old French forward since his close-season acquisition from RB Leipzig for 60 million pounds ($75.42 million).

With 10 games left and 40 points, Chelsea is currently ranked 12th in the league. On Thursday, they will play United, who defeated them 2-1 at Old Trafford in December.
Pochettino went on to say that his youthful team have to defend its badge and advance rapidly.
“We are Chelsea, but we need to behave like Chelsea, we need to behave like we want to belong to a big club,” the player from Argentina stated. “It’s not an excuse to be a young or inexperienced player.”We must act. The Premier League and the club have such high expectations that there is no time to make improvements in a year or two.

They must demonstrate their presence, moral fiber, and deservingness of being allowed to perform at this amazing club. If we act like that, the supporters will support us.”
