CAA Announces 2022-23 Men's Basketball Conference Schedule - Coastal Athletic Association (CAA Sports)

BUIES CREEK – The 2024–25 men’s basketball conference schedule has been released by the CAA. Starting on January 2, the Fighting Camels will play an 18-game schedule that ends on March 1, the day of the season’s conclusion.
“We are excited for our second year in the CAA—what a fantastic league!” exclaimed head coach Kevin McGeehan. For our program, having the chance to compete in the Boston, New York, and Philadelphia areas is fantastic. In addition, there is a fantastic home schedule that includes UNCW, Elon, NC A&T, College of Charleston, Drexel, Towson, Monmouth, and Hofstra, in addition to local opponents. With such elite opponents coming to Gore Arena, this will be fantastic for our supporters.”

Similar to the previous year, the calendar is set up with games every Thursday and Saturday, usually both at home or both away.
Campbell will hold home-and-home series with UNCW, Charleston, Elon, NC A&T, and Hofstra, as was originally stated. The Camels will also travel to Delaware, Hampton, Northeastern, Stony Brook, and Monmouth in addition to hosting Drexel, William and Mary, Monmouth, and Towson in Gore Arena.
In its first CAA campaign, Campbell finished 8–10 and split eight of the nine conference weekends.

On January 2, Campbell will play Drexel in the Buies Creek conference opener before traveling to UNCW on January 4.
The following weekend, CU travels to play Hampton (January 9) and Elon (January 11). The Camels will make their first home weekend appearances in Charleston on January 16 and Monmouth on January 18.
After that, on January 23 and January 25, the Camels go north for their first-ever visits to Stony Brook and Hofstra universities.

With four straight home games spread over two weekends, Campbell is enjoying its longest homestand of the year. The games start on January 30 against William & Mary and Hofstra on February 1 and go on to two in-state rivals, Elon on February 6 and NC A&T on February 8.
After the homestand, Campbell has three straight away games. On February 13, the Camels go to Boston to play Northeastern, and on February 15, they make a stop at Delaware on their way back to the state. The Camels play their final game of the road trip on Thursday, February 20, against NC A&T. On February 22, they welcome Towson at The Creek.

Campbell will play two opponents in the season’s last weekend: on February 27, the team will host UNCW, and on March 1, the team will travel to Charleston to conclude play.
There is a chance that some of the scheduled games will be moved to Monday night. The CAA will release the full streaming schedule for those games prior to the commencement of non-conference play.
In the upcoming weeks, the whole non-conference schedule will be revealed, along with the games at Virginia, Ohio State, and North Carolina that have already been revealed.
“Stay tuned for a great non-conference schedule which will help prepare us for what is an always highly-competitive CAA.” stated McGeehan.

The Jersey Mike’s CAA Championship returns to the Entertainment and Sports Arena in Washington, D.C., March 7–11; all game timings will also be revealed closer to the season launch.
