“Blues lack ‘winning mentality” – William Gallas Blast Chelsea for not signing Cristiano Ronaldo

“Cristiano Ronaldo was a mistake for Chelsea to pass up,” a blockbuster deal should have been completed to get CR7’s “winning mentality.”

William Gallas claims that Chelsea lacks a “winning mentality” and that Chelsea “made a mistake by not signing Cristiano Ronaldo.”

Five times Winner of the Ballon d’Or Rumors surfaced about Ronaldo making an unexpected move to Stamford Bridge when Manchester United released him in November 2022. Little has changed since Chelsea’s desperate need for a proven goal scorer to lead their line in the past. CR7 ultimately moved to Saudi Arabia, where at 39 years old he continues to be a regular presence for Al-Nassr. Many are wondering why people in west London did not press harder to strike a deal.

Gallas, a former Blues defender, said to Genting Casino that Chelsea erred in not signing Cristiano Ronaldo. Chelsea would have been an excellent fit for him, and he was free to sign. Everyone is aware of Ronaldo’s potential value in the locker room; his winning attitude may have helped the team. Chelsea made an error in this case.

Chelsea has been spending a lot of money on new players, adding players like Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku to strengthen their attacking group, but they are still rumored to be interested in another No. 9. Regarding his chase, Gallas continued, “Victor Osimhen to Chelsea? Chelsea will not be able to turn things around with only one player. You need to make sure the players surrounding him are good enough to support the striker, even if they only purchase one. Given the youth of the squad, we might witness an improvement and a Premier League contender the next season. Nicolas Jackson currently has eight goals, so we’ll have to wait and see how many more he scores.

Chelsea will require a top striker if Jackson is unable to score 15 or more goals in the Premier League, as they do not currently have one. It is now up to Nicolas Jackson to prove. It will be challenging for him to maintain his spot in the squad come playoff time if he doesn’t score between 15 and 20 goals in the Premier League. Chelsea is planning to add a striker. He must seize his possibilities now, work tirelessly, and develop greater consistency while he has them. It’s what it takes to be a player at a major league Chelsea.

Chelsea is always willing to shell out a lot of money, and signing Osimhen from Napoli would not be cheap. However, the team is still losing astronomically, and they run the risk of breaking Financial Fair Play (FFP) rules, which might lead to a punishment of points.
