Birmingham: Tom Brady and the club’s board will not be spending “millions” in January – Tony Mowbray

Although Tony Mowbray claims that “lots” are happening at Birmingham, Tom Brady and the club’s board have decided not to spend “millions” in January.

After witnessing their ambitions for promotion in 2023–24 dwindle and realizing that relegation may be a tight collective focus in the Championship, the Blues are keen to bolster their ranks. They have already had three managers this season, with Wayne Rooney taking over for John Eustace after just 15 games in charge.

Now that the former Celtic and Sunderland manager Mowbray has taken over, the goal is to begin moving up the table and lay the groundwork for a potential return to the Premier League.

Although money will need to be spent on that project, Mowbray is keen to remind out that not much will be spent during the current transfer window. He revealed to BBC Radio WM the extent to which St Andrew’s is discussing hiring: I would have to say, a lot—more than I had anticipated. I have a lot of hope because I believe that Craig Gardner, the technical director, will have a busy few weeks. Although we can’t spend millions of pounds during this window, we can rearrange things.

A trip to the FA Cup fourth round has been a pleasant diversion from efforts in the second tier of English football, and NFL star Rob Brady is among those who have enjoyed in watching Birmingham presently sit 20th in the Championship table, seven points clear of the relegation zone.
