Hours after the Norwegian was eliminated from the singles, Rafael Nadal and Casper Ruud survived a match point in the decisive set tie-break to go to the doubles semifinals in Bastad on Wednesday.

After nearly losing the last three points of the match, Nadal and Ruud overcame Theo Arribage of France and Roman Safiullin of Russia 6-4, 3-6, 12/10 to go to the round of four.

“I believe we had a good time. “It was a great tennis match against two excellent players, and it ended in an emotional fashion,” stated Rafael Nadal, who is also participating in the singles competition.

“We had fun, and the crowd was fantastic. It’s great to see a doubles match with a full house. simply savoring each and every day

Nadal and Ruud are awaiting word on their opponents for the semifinals, but the Spaniard will return to play on Thursday when he takes on Britain’s Cameron Norrie in the singles round of 16.
