Arteta says Southgate should include Arsenal’s Ramsdale for the England Euro squad.

Prior to Arsenal’s Premier League matchup with Brentford on Saturday, manager Mikel Arteta stated that goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale of Arsenal should be included in Gareth Southgate’s squad for the European Championship in Germany because of his consistent play.
Ramsdale participated in 38 league games the previous season; he has only played five this year. Following David Raya’s loan move from Brentford to Arsenal during the previous season’s off-season, the Englishman lost his starting position to the Spaniard.
Raya is unable to play for his parent club, thus Ramsdale will start the league match on Saturday.

“I don’t know how Gareth is thinking but if I were placed that situation, I would judge Aaron not for what he has done in one day but what he has done in the last two or three seasons,” Arteta stated to reporters on Friday.
“He has demonstrated quality and consistency. I would have no need to decide differently as a result. A player must be authentic, and Aaron possesses many of these traits in addition to his charisma, excitement, and energy.”
England’s group for Euro 2024, which kicks off on June 14, includes Slovenia, Denmark, and Serbia.
