Do You Think Donald Trump Is A True Golfer? Arguments Are Sparked By Videos Of His Shaky Swing

The first presidential debate of 2024 was universally derided, with the most substantial argument that people could genuinely support appearing to be Joe Biden and Donald Trump’s tragic hair-off. However, the most dramatic part of the evening ended with Trump and Biden getting into a small-scale, high school-level golf spat. CNN’s lack of moderation and lack of fact-checking drew criticism. But have no fear—social media stepped up to the plate swiftly, bringing videos and criticisms of Trump’s unsteady swing to X, the former Twitter, and starting a debate that was far more intense than anything that happened on the debate stage.

One person wrote, “Even my left hand swing looks much better than his swing.” Another retorted, “Destroyed that ball the same way he did with Biden yesterday.” A voice of reason asked, “A good golfer would make a good leader.” However, that was only the beginning as more sports analysis and films continued to appear on platforms. So, does Trump actually play golf as well as he says? We’re here to listen to the ongoing discussion on the unstable swing.

The theory that Joe Biden would be doped up and given performance-enhancing pharmaceuticals was as ludicrous as Hillary Clinton purportedly spending her time in pizza restaurant basements, as it became evident when Biden took the stage. This conspiracy was started by Donald Trump. Strangely, considering the controversy on social media about his claims of golfing talent, Biden faltered while Donald took a sharp detour. Trump cutting into the rough in a video that editor and lawyer Ron Filipkowski uploaded.

It’s hardly unexpected that a large number of the 82.8k followers showered appreciation on Barstool Sports, considering that Donald Trump Jr. follows the platform. “Trump doesn’t lose a single hole put everything you own and more on it,” said another. However, not everyone boarded the Trump golf buggy. At least one commenter was able to maintain their partisanship. That slice into that bunker is 195 yards long, lol. That is not how a 2.5 handicap swings. Nobody could possibly shoot lower than a 90 if those two were in a match, they wrote.

Trump’s statistical golf game

Few individuals can boast like Donald Trump can, especially when it comes to his golf game, and even fewer can disparage their rivals more skillfully. As to the Associated Press, Trump allegedly advised hotelier and business partner Phil Ruffin that he ought to play with women’s tees and disparaged the abilities of South African professional and former world champion Ernie Els. Trump is a real ballplayer, as the AP pointed out; if Trump is to be believed, his handicap was 2.9 in the fall of 2018. This is true even though he is seventy-nine years old.

It should come as no surprise that Trump maintained his form. It’s no secret that during his one tenure in government, he played golf far too much. During his four years, Trump spent 428 days at one of his organization’s golf clubs, according to a January 2021 Washington Post report. Trump’s administration declined to formally disclose how many games he played, as it did with many other issues. Nevertheless, the Post anticipated that 261 rounds will be played at an estimated cost of $109 million. Obama, on the other hand, played 333 during his two tenure.

In March 2024, Biden did not let the chance to criticize Trump for his golfing boasts go through his fingers. The former president boasted of his Mar-a-Lago club’s two championships. “Greetings, President Donald. Quite the achievement,” Biden said of X. “He’s too nice to mention that Trump is a known cheater when it comes to golf,” MSNBC analyst Tim O’Brien continued.
